And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.
아브라함이 거기서 남방으로 이사하여 가데스와 술 사이 그랄에 우거하며

And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.
그의 아내 사라를 누이라 하였으므로 그랄 왕 아비멜렉이 사람을 보내어 사라를 데려갔더니

But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man's wife.
그 밤에 하나님이 아비멜렉에게 현몽하여 이르시되, 네가 취한 이 여인으로 말미암아 네가 죽으리니 그는 남편이 있는 여자임이라

But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, LORD, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation?
아비멜렉이 그 여인을 가까이 하지 아니하였으므로 이르되, 주여 주께서 의로운 백성도 멸하시나이까

Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, even she herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this.
그가 나에게 이르기를 그는 내 누이라 하지 아니하였나이까 그 여인도 그가 내 오라비라 하였사오니 내가 온전한 마음과 깨끗한 손으로 이렇게 하였나이다

And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart;
하나님이 꿈에 또 그에게 이르시되, 네가 온전한 마음으로 이렇게 한 줄을 내가 아노라

그러므로 내가 너를 막아 내게 범죄하지 아니하게 하였나니 그를 만지지도 못하게 하였느니라

Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live:
이제 그 사람의 아내를 돌려보내라 그는 선지자라 그가 너를 위하여 기도하리니 네가 살려니와

and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.
네가 돌려보내지 아니하면 너와 네게 속한 자가 다 반드시 죽을 줄 알지니라

Therefore Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ears: and the men were sore afraid.

Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us?

And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing?
아비멜렉이 또 아브라함에게 이르되, 네가 무슨 뜻으로 이렇게 하였느냐

And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife's sake.
아브라함이 이르되, 이곳은 하나님을 두려워함이 없으니 내 아내로 말미암아 사람들이 나를 죽일까 생각하였음이요

And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.
과연 그는 나의 이복 누이로서 내 아버지의 딸이나 내 어머니의 딸은 아니므로 내 아내가 되었었노라

And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father's house, that I said unto her, This is thy kindness which thou shalt shew unto me;
하나님이 나를 내 아버지의 집에서 떠나 두루 다니게 하실 때에 내가 그에게 말하기를 이르는 곳마다 그대는 나를 오라비라 하라 이것이 그대가 내게 베풀 은혜라 하였었노라

And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife.

And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee.

So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.
아브라함이 하나님께 기도하매 하나님이 아비멜렉과 그의 아내와 여종을 치료하사 출산하게 하셨으니

For the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah's wife.
여호와께서 이왕에 아브라함의 아내 사라의 일로 아비멜렉의 집의 모든 태를 닫히게 하셨음이더라
